Material: Our rattan pendants are handcrafted by a family of artisans we have worked with since the inception of 8 Degrees South. Each design begins with a welded metal frame, wrapped in rattan before being woven by hand. Once complete, the pendant is flame-finished to remove loose fibres and sealed for added protection. Made within a multi-generational family workshop in Bali, every piece carries the story, skill and tradition of the people who create it, and the family whose lives unfold alongside it each day.
