Our pendants are handcrafted by a family of artisans we have worked with since the inception of 8 Degrees South. Each design begins with a welded metal frame, wrapped in waterhyacinth before being woven by hand. Made within a multi-generational family workshop in Bali, every piece carries the story, skill and tradition of the people who create it, and the family whose lives unfold alongside it each day.

To keep the final retail price as accessible as possible, and to comply with import regulations surrounding electrical components, we supply the lampshade only. Our pendants are designed to work with a standard bulb holder and can be easily fitted over most existing light fittings.
